A MAN has been charged following a burglary in which around £7,000 worth of good were stolen.
On November 1, it was reported to police that a flat on Minnitt Road, Gosport, was entered.
Cash was stolen along with a number of items including jewellery, designer handbags, an iPad and a mobile phone.
Aaron James Smethurst, 35, of Bemisters Lane in Gosport, has been charged with burglary following an investigation led by the Operation Hawk team.
He was remanded in custody to appear at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court this morning (November 13).
As part of this investigation, police previously charged Curtis Coombes, 34, formerly of South Street in Gosport, with burglary.
He is due to appear at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court on November 20.
A 27-year-old woman from Gosport was given a conditional caution for obstructing police.
