A COLLEGE has confirmed 12 positive cases of covid in one week.
Barton Peveril Sixth Form College, on Chestnut Avenue, Eastleigh, says 12 students tested positive for the virus last week.
As a result of this, 27 students have been identified as 'close contacts' and asked to self isolate for 14 days.
There were said to be no cases amongst college staff last week.
The college, which has over 4,000 full time students, has been working closely with Public Health England in its response to the positive cases.
A spokesperson for Barton Peveril said: "With the full support of Public Health England, the College will continue to operate as normal and the vast majority of students who are not in the self isolating group are attending college unaffected."
