Christmas is right around the corner and unfortunately the Covid-19 pandemic managed to cancel a lot of our favourite events.
However, the show must go on and there is still a whole host of festive family fun to be had in the area.
Here are some of our favourite Christmas events still going ahead in and around Southampton this year:
Christmas Fayre
Where: Wickham Community Centre, Fareham
Price: Free
Dates: Sunday December 6, 11am to 3pm.
Stock up on locally made Christmas gifts, cards and produce for you and your loved ones.
There are over 50 stallholders this year including cards, festive refreshments, ornaments, personalised gifts and more.
Following covid-guidance there is track and trace or a sign in sheet on entry and visitors are asked to socially distance.

Christmas at Paultons
Where: Paultons Park, near Romsey
Price: £29.50 per person, children under 1 metre and wheelchair dependant guests do not require tickets and go free.
Dates: December 11 to 23
See Peppa and George ready for Christmas in their hats and gloves as well as giant Christmas trees and Santa in his sleigh.
Fun for all the family, Christmas at Paultons in not one to be missed with epic rides, restaurants on site and a special Christmas show by Santa.

This covid-secure event is back for Christmas with a huge array of blockbuster movies to see.
From Elf to Grinch, Love Actually and Die Hard - there's really something for everyone.
Not one to miss, this awesome event runs throughout December and will be sure to get you in the Christmas spirit.

A Peter Rabbit Winter Adventure

Price: £2 per trail pack plus £13 per adult and £6.50 per child.
Date: Throughout December between 10am and 4pm.
Young nature adventurers can lend a hand to some of Beatrix Potter’s well-loved characters such as Squirrel Nutkin, Mr. Jeremy Fisher and Jemima Puddleduck, and solve the clues to earn their special trail badge.
You'll find decorations inspired by the natural beauty of winter around the gardens and inside the house.
The activities are aimed at both 3-5 year olds and 5-9 year olds.

A Christmas Quest
Where: The Point Theatre, Eastleigh, SO50 9DE
Price: £42 for a group of up to 4 or £62 for a group of up to 6.
Date: December 12 from 7.30pm.
This 40-minute immersive activity for all the family will set you on a quest to help find the sun for Father Christmas.
Travel a magical world of gigantic presents, frozen mazes, dazzling lights and thrilling challenges into the Polar north and help Santa bring back the sun to make sure his sledge can take off into the night skies this Christmas.
