ARMED police raced to a city centre bank following reports of a man with a gun.
Officers swooped to Lloyds TSB in Above Bar Street after a man was spotted with a gun.
One witness reported seeing police vehicles blocking off the street and a helicopter circling overhead last night.
However, following a thorough search of the bank two people believed to have made the report were arrested on suspicion of wasting police time.
A 20-year-old woman and a 21-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of causing wasteful employment of police and causing a public nuisance.

"It was reported a man was seen inside the premises with gun.
