A MOTORWAY has been reopened 11 hours after it was closed following a police incident.
Police have announced this morning that the motorway between junctions 8 and 9 (Windhover and Park Gate) of the M27 is reopen this morning.
The announcement was made at around 7.10am.
It comes after the road was shut at around 8pm last night following a police incident.
As previously reported, officers were forcing traffic caught up in the delays to make a U-turn.
They said that due to the "nature of the incident", traffic was not allowed to be released forward.
A police spokesperson said: "These closures will be in place for some time and we urge people to avoid the area."
The Daily Echo has contacted Hampshire Police for more information.
