A COLLEGE marketing team has won six national awards at a virtual ceremony.

Barton Peveril Sixth Form College's Marketing Department have won six awards in the national FE First Awards 2020.

The awards aim to celebrate the achievements of the nation’s College Marketing Departments, awarding those shortlisted with a Silver or Gold Award.

The Department at the Eastleigh based college was recognised in the Innovation & Creativity, Digital & Social Media Campaign, Targeted Recruitment Campaign, Communications Campaign, Outstanding Individual Achievement in College Marketing, and Marketing Team of the Year categories.

The team were given the awards in a virtual ceremony held on November 30, 2020.

Marketing and Communications Manager, Luke Shearing, said: “I am incredibly proud that we have been recognised nationally winning six awards at the FE First Awards 2020, particularly in the most challenging of years.

"We have worked tirelessly to deliver events and campaigns to inform and attract a record number of top students from across the region to Barton Peveril.

"We are privileged to work at a fantastic College, with great colleagues, and a clear focus on improving the lives and experiences of thousands of young people each year.”

The Marketing Department received Highly Commended accolades in the Innovation & Creativity Award and the Digital & Social Media Campaign Award, Silver Awards for the Targeted Recruitment Campaign and Marketing Team of the Year awards, and a Gold Award in the Communications Campaign category.

Marketing Coordinator George Robson also received a Gold Award in the Outstanding Individual Achievement in College Marketing category, for his work as part of the team over the past year.
