IN THE difficult times brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic, we want to show the world the hard work and dedication of Southampton’s businesses that are continuing to keep the city buzzing.

As the Daily Echo, Go! Southampton and Southampton City Council continue their pledge to Love Local Businesses, we want to shout about your business.

Whether a corner shop, takeaway business, coffee vendor, pub-meals-on-the-go or any other that is open for business or offering “click and collect”services, the work being put in by owners and employees across the city is amazing!

And now is your chance to show everyone exactly what you’ve been up to during these unprecedented times.

The Echo is now appealing to you, our readers, to share with us a picture of either you, or your customers in action as they receive a latte, pizza, weekly shop, or home delivery.

You can submit an online form with your pictures by visiting the the Daily Echo website at www.dailyecho.co.uk/business/love-local-business.

The only extra details we need are your name, business name, post code, contact number and email.

The service is completely free and it has never been easier to promote your business and all the work you do.

Giles Semper, Executive Director of Go! Southampton said that supporting local businesses can “make all the difference.”

He said: “We are delighted that we can join the Daily Echo and the city council in celebrating all the amazing businesses that are members of GO! Southampton in the city centre.

“More than 100 of our 609 businesses are still open – either for essential retail or because they offer takeaway food.

“In these tough times we’d urge Echo readers to keep their spend local and perhaps use a business they haven’t used before.”

As reported, it comes as the Echo and its partners launched the Love Local Business initiative, which looks to promote the best of local businesses here in Southampton.
