A SOUTHAMPTON man spat in his victim’s face and threatened to kill her, a court heard.
Martin Paul Herring screamed at a woman and demanded to see her phone during an incident on May 14 last year.
The 40-year-old of Wellow Close was found guilty of a single count of assault by beating.
Appearing at Southampton Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday he was given a community order until August 2022 to include 17 rehabilitation activity days.
Herring was made the subject of a restraining order not to contact his victim during this time.
He was fined £120 and must pay £300 court costs and a £95 victim surcharge.
