A MAN accused of murdering his ex-girlfriend by stabbing her 23 times during a “frenzied” attack also suffered stab wounds, a court heard.
Abdelaziz El Yechioui Ourzat is accused of murdering his former partner Cristina Ortiz-Lozano on September 21, 2019.
However, during court proceedings at Winchester Crown Court on Tuesday, defence barrister told how Ourzat, 30, suffered five stab wounds to his neck and chest.
Ourzat was rushed to hospital for treatment and claims he took a knife from Ortiz-Lozano, 28, at her home in Spear Road, Southampton.
He denies murder but has admitted manslaughter by diminished responsibility.
The trial continues.
