POLICE are warning residents after a spate of thefts from cars.
Officers from Fareham have reported an increase in thefts from motor vehicles in the area.
From Thursday February 11 - February 18, 14 incidents were reported.
These incidents have included theft of tools, catalytic converters and wheels.
These have occurred in Cartwright Drive, Winnards Park, Castle Street, Fort Wallington, Shannon Road, Leigh Road, Merrow Close, Seaway Grove, Bridge Road, Lind Way, Crispin Close, Park Lane, Croftlands Avenue and Swanwick Lane.
A Hampshire police spokesperson said: "The local beat teams for these areas are aware, and will be looking into these incidents with a view to targeting resources to the affected areas.
"Our advice to people, on a very basic level, is to make sure your car is locked and no valuables are left behind inside your vehicle.
"There is a wealth of other information on our website with tips on how to keep your vehicle secure."
