CIVIC chiefs have approved plans to demolish seven outbuildings in the New Forest National Park.
An application relating to Little Hill at Furze Hill, Fordingbridge, has been given the go-ahead by the Lymington-based National Park Authority (NPA).
Hyde Parish Council had urged the authority to support the proposal.
A report to NPA members said one the fields owned by the applicant contained a number of barns and stables that were dated and in various states of disrepair.
It added: “The applicant seeks conservation area consent for the demolition of the dilapidated buildings.
“The buildings are not listed. The only issue to consider is the architectural significance of the buildings and the impact of their loss upon the character and appearance of the conservation area.
“The buildings are early to mid-20th century and are of limited architectural or historic interest.
“As such their demolition is not considered to have a harmful or negative impact upon the character and appearance of the conservation area.”
