POLICE in Southampton are attempting to track down a group of six 'youths' after a bus was vandalised yesterday.
The incident took place on Aldermoor Road in Lordshill and follows a string of similar incidents in the city.
Neighbourhood officers were said to be "minutes behind" the group but they "vanished in to a maze of footpaths".
Last week police revealed that boy aged just 12 had been held in connection with a spate of attacks on buses in the city. They said that the youngster had admitted the attacks.
A spokesperson for Southampton Cops said: "Sadly, another bus has been damaged on Aldermoor Road.
"Six youths seen running away towards Lordshill District Centre and Fairisle Road.
"Neighbourhood Officers were just minutes behind them but the group vanished in to the maze of footpaths around Cromarty Road."
Police are appealing for any information about the incident.

The spokesperson added: "Perhaps your child was out and about between 19:30 and 19:50 hours, did they take a catapult with them?
"We have some CCTV enquiries that may identify the group, fingers crossed we'll be knocking some doors in the coming days."
