PLANS for a split-level house beside existing homes have been given the go-ahead.
New Forest District Council has approved an application relating to a plot of land at Rosebery Avenue, Hythe.
A report to members said: "The site is positioned between two blocks of semi-detached houses and an area of woodland.
"Permission is sought for a detached three-bedroom dwelling with parking for two vehicles. The new house would be split-level - two storey at the front and three-storey at the rear.
"The design of the proposed dwelling incorporates a number of features found in neighbouring dwellings and the surrounding street scene."
The report said the proposed development amounted to an effective use of the land.
