A HAMPSHIRE care home has retained a "good" rating after it underwent an unexpected inspection.
Following an unannounced Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection at Cygnet Health Care's Devon Lodge in Hedge End, the care home has said it is "delighted" to retain a good rating for its services.
The latest CQC report, published on February 17 following the inspection which took place in December, praised the care home for promoting high quality, person-centred care.
During the inspection, one of the things the CQC looked at infection prevention and control measures that had been put in place in response to the pandemic.
Dave Chase, the Registered Manager at Devon Lodge, said today: āIām so pleased and proud of the team for their work. Throughout the pandemic, they have kept morale high and go above and beyond to make sure people are well looked after.ā
