A LEADING luxury retailer is to open a new store in a Southampton shopping centre.

Hammerson has announced that retailer FLANNELS is to open a new store in its flagship destination Westquay.

The 21,000 sq ft unit is expected to open in the autumn and will be the brand’s first store on the South Coast.

Laura Read, general manager of Westquay, said: “We’re always looking to introduce brands to our destination that will bring something new and exciting to the table, and this is a fantastic example of that.

"This will be FLANNELS’ first store on the South Coast, and I’m sure the combination of top, luxury brands and a really engaging in store experience will go down well with our customers.

"Today’s announcement also represents a vote of confidence in Westquay, and demonstrates that, when the location is right, brands are still looking to grow.”

The investment is part of Frasers Group’s wider elevation strategy and ongoing commitment to luxury retail experiences.
