AFTER nearly two whole days, firefighters are being relieved from their duties in Bransbury.
At the peak of the blaze at The Barracks, 116 crew members were on hand to tackle the flames that ultimately destroyed three thatched cottages.
Now, after saving the fourth cottage on the estate and recovering personal belongings from the properties, the incident is no longer being classed as an emergency.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Fire and Rescue service said: "We're pleased to share that the stop message for the Bransbury Fire has come in."
Teams from Andover, Sutton Scotney, Stockbridge, Whitchurch, Overton, Basingstoke, Eastleigh, Winchester, St Mary’s, Rushmoor, Newbury and Ludgershall were first mobilised at 4.17pm on Sunday (March 7).
