A SOUTHAMPTON man has avoided jail for sending a woman a gun emoji.
Marcelino Lewis sent a woman a message saying: "Do you want a bullet in the face?".
The 40-year-old of King George's Avenue followed this up by sending a gun emoji, a court heard.
Appearing at Southampton Crown Court on Wednesday, he was charged with sending abusive and threatening messages which he was prohibited from doing by a non-molestation order.
He pleaded guilty to the offences which happened between July 16 and 19 last year.
He was jailed for four months, suspended for two years.
