A SOUTHAMPTON man must fork out almost £400 in costs and fines for skipping a train fare.
Benjamin Boella was stopped at Southampton Central Station.
The 32-year-old was charged with failing to hand over a ticket for inspection when asked to do so.
Boella, of Wellbeck Avenue, was proved guilty under the single justice procedure for the offence which happened on September 26 last year.
Portsmouth Magistrates' Court fined him £200.
He must also pay £4.70 compensation, a £34 victim surcharge and £140 court costs.
