MORE than 140 new positive cases have been recorded in Hampshire over the last 24 hours.

Public Health England figures - as recorded on the Government website - show that, as of 4pm today, 143 more people have tested positive for the virus in a 24 hour period.

Yesterday, 142 new cases were recorded.

This brings the county's total to 89,769 cases since the start of the pandemic - around 6.52 per cent of the county's population.

  • Basingstoke and Deane: 13 (7,981 in total since start of pandemic)
  • East Hampshire: 3 (4,758)
  • Eastleigh: 12 (5,596)
  • Fareham: 9 (5,119)
  • Gosport: 7 (3,761)
  • Hart: 11 (4,197)
  • Havant: 4 (6,896)
  • New Forest: 3 (5,991)
  • Portsmouth: 20 (13,953)
  • Rushmoor: 2 (7,622)
  • Southampton: 46 (13,912)
  • Test Valley: 8 (5,189)
  • Winchester: 5 (4,794)
