EMERGENCY services were called to an incident near a Southampton river.
Police, Hillhead Coastguard, Hamble Lifeboat and ambulance crews were seen this afternoon along the Itchen Broadwalk following concern for the welfare of a person in the water.

Coastguard crews were seen in the water close to Horseshoe Bridge, while police and ambulance services were seen parked along the road.
It has been reported by Hampshire Police Marine Unit that the incident was "resolved safely".

The incident happened at around 1.30pm yesterday.
