MORE than 100 areas across Hampshire, including Southampton and the New Forest, have recorded fewer than three Covid cases each, according to the latest weekly data.
A total of 101 locations across the whole of the county were described as "suppressed" meaning they had fewer than three cases each in the seven days to March 8.
An interactive map on the government website using data from Public Health England shows the coronavirus is in retreat as the effects of the national lockdown and the vaccine rollout are felt.
The map, using data from Public Health England, breaks down the number of coronavirus cases into neighbourhoods called 'Middle Super Output Areas' (MSOAs), which are smaller than council wards and based on population rather than geographical area.
It colour-codes MSOAs depending on their seven day rolling infection rate, with areas placed into the boundaries of 0-9 (yellow), 10-49 (light green), 50-99 (dark green), 100-199 (light blue), 200-399 (dark blue), 400 to 799 (light purple) and 800 plus (dark purple).
Anywhere that is "suppressed" appears in white on the map.
