A BIGGER discount retailer store is to open its doors to Southampton's public next week.
As previously reported, new and improved B&M store is set to officially open on March 26 in Millbrook and will feature a garden centre.
The store is to replace the Homebase store in Auckland Road and will create 30 new jobs in the community.
The B&M store will be in place of Homebase, which closed its doors to the public in August last year.
Following feedback from regular shoppers that they wanted a bigger shop and even more products, the store team have today confirmed that they will be moving into the former Homebase site on Auckland Road.
The new B&M store will almost double in size with over 40,000 sq. ft. of sales space, offering an even bigger selection of great bargains from grocery, toiletries and health and beauty to toys, homeware and DIY, plus a brand new garden centre.
The existing bargains store in Millbrook will shut their tills for the final time on Saturday, March 20, but, customers won’t have to wait long to get back in store as the new site will open its doors at 9am on Friday, March 26.
The store manager at B&M Millbrook, said: “We wanted a bigger and better store for our customers, giving them even more big branded products.”
“We hope customers are going to be delighted with their new store, we’re really excited to get the doors open.”
The existing B&M store is set to be taken over by German supermarket giant Aldi.
