AN EASTLEIGH man has been banned from a supermarket chain across Hampshire following a spate of thefts.
Martin David Bell carried out four thefts in the space of one month last year, stealing products worth £195.50 from Sainsbury's in Eastleigh.
The 45-year-old carried out the crimes in July last year and stole items such as meat, gin, whisky and rum.
Appearing at Southampton Magistrates' Court, he pleaded guilty to four counts of theft.
Bell, of Chestnut Avenue, Eastleigh, was banned from entering all Sainsbury's stores across Hampshire in the next 12 months and was ordered to carry out 40 hours of unpaid work.
He was also ordered to pay £195 in compensation.
