AN ELDERLY woman died after being found unconscious at home.
Winchester Coroner's Court heard that Jean Ferry, of Merrieleas Close in Chandler's Ford, was pronounced dead on March 8.
The 79-year-old was found unresponsive by carers a few days before and taken to the Royal Hampshire County Hospital.
Her family decided to place her on end-of-life care to keep her comfortable.
According to pathologist Dr Balvinder Shoker, the preliminary cause of death is multiple organ failure with chronic kidney disease contributing.
Area coroner Rosamund Rhodes-Kemp adjourned the full inquest to August 9.
