AN 'OVERWEIGHT' truck posing a potentially serious risk to road users has been stopped on a Hampshire motorway.
Police spotted a flatbed truck on the M27 "looking lopsided".
The vehicle was reportedly 54 per cent overweight and deemed it had potential to be a serious risk to road safety.
Officer stopped the truck near to J2 at the Ower interchange.
A post on the Hampshire Roads Policing Unit Twitter feed said: "This vehicle was seen travelling on the #M27 near Jcn 2 looking lopsided! It was taken to a weighbridge & found to be 54% overweight! This had potential to be a serious risk to road safety. Vehicle prohibited. Drivers, if it looks too heavy it probably is!"
