A SOUTHAMPTON man caught drug driving had no insurance policy in place.
Barry Donald Kay was caught drug driving in a Mazda 2 on Milton Road, Southampton, on August 18 last year.
The 52-year-old was found to have Benzoylecgonine - a breakdown product of cocaine - in his blood.
He was also found to have no insurance policy.
Appearing at Southampton Magistrates' Court, he pleaded guilty to one count of drug driving and one count of driving without insurance.
Kay, of Bitterne Road East, Southampton, was put on electronic monitoring for 10 weeks banning him from leaving his address from 7pm to 7am.
He was also disqualified from driving for two years and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £95.
