A DRINK driver was stopped more than three times the legal limit.
Christopher Oliver John Lane was caught driving a Volkswagen Passat on Rudd Lane in Braishfield.
The 33-year-old of The Milburns, Timsbury gave a reading of 111 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath - the legal limit is 35 microgrammes.
Appearing at Southampton Magistrates' Court he pleaded guilty to a single count of drink driving following the offence on January 22 this year.
He was fined £850 and given a two year ban.
He must pay £85 in court costs and an £85 victim surcharge.
