POLICE have warned a driver to expect "hefty fines" after stopping a lorry that was badly loaded.
The trucker was pulled over and prohibited from continuing their journey until the load was made safe.
They were also reported to Test Valley Borough Council for what the police describe as "further waste carrier offences".
Hampshire Roads Policing Unit tweeted: "Hefty fines forthcoming."
It follows another incident two days ago in which a vehicle was stopped near Junction 2 on the M27.
Police officers said the vehicle looked lopsided.
They tweeted: "It was taken to a weighbridge and found to be 54% overweight.
"This had potential to be a serious risk to road safety. Vehicle prohibited. Drivers, if it looks too heavy it probably is."
