A LORRY driver has been fined £300 after his vehicle was found to be 43% overweight.
Hampshire police stopped the vehicle after seeing it was carrying five empty skips stacked on top of each other.
Hampshire Roads Policing Unit tweeted: "Another unsafe load.
"This driver skipped his safety checks yesterday morning. Vehicle found to be 43% overweight.
"Driver issued £300 fine and vehicle prohibited until made safe.
"If you had to do an emergency stop, would you want this behind you?"
