I CONCEDE that this country needs to import some produce which cannot be grown here because of our climate, such as pineapples, oranges, lemons, kiwifruit, mangoes etc. plus items when out of season here such as tomatoes.
Recently two punnets of mushrooms were delivered by a supermarket and they were grown in Poland.
As this vegetable must be one of the easiest to grow in this country, I fail to understand why we are adding this item to our imports.
Needless to say that by the time they were delivered they were inedible.
