A TEENAGE boy was knocked unconscious after being attacked by a gang of youths.

A 13-year-old boy was knocked out after being hit in the face by a gang of between three and five teens.

He had been sitting on a bench in Leesland Park, Lavinia Road, Gosport when the group surrounded hit.

After being attacked and regaining conciousness, the victim realised the teens had fled the scene.

The incident happened at around 6pm on Thursday, March 18 Police have now launched an appeal to trace the group.

One of the youths is described as aged between 14 and 16-year-old, around 6ft, of a lean build and with black hair.

He was said to have been wearing a black puffa jacket and black tracksuit bottoms.

Another of the youths is described as aged around 15, with a wider build with bigger thighs.

He was reportedly wearing a black tracksuit and a puffa coat. Meanwhile, a third boy is believed to be aged between 14 and 15, 5ft 7ins tall, and with a wide build.

He was wearing a navy-blue Nike tracksuit with the bottoms sagging down.

Police Staff Investigator Daniela Holland said: “The victim suffered concussion and lost consciousness as a result of the attack.

"I am appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident to come forward and speak to us.

"Did you see the group in the area? Did you see where they went after the attack?

"If you have any information that could help our investigation, please contact us.”
