A MAN who dumped a builders' grab bag in a road and who failed to turn up at court must pay more than £2,000 in fines and costs.
Lucasz Dabrowski dumped a bag of building waste on the carriageway of Crofton Road in Portsmouth.
He was charged with flouting environmental laws by throwing down, dropping or depositing litter.
Dabrowski of Summit Way in Southampton failed to appear before Portsmouth Magistrates' Court.
He was therefore proved guilty in absence of the offence which happened on July 14 last year.
He was fined £1,500 and ordered to pay costs of £418.
Dabrowski must also pay a £150 victim surcharge.
