Man told to compensate victim for Christmas Day attack
A WINCHESTER man must compensate a man he attacked, a court has ruled.
Stylianos Joseph Gomez assaulted Charles James Murphy on Christmas Day last year, Basingstoke Magistrates Court heard.
Gomez, 20, of Trussell Crescent, Weeke, pleaded guilty to the attack and also criminal damage to a coffee table.
An allegation of assault on Therese Gomez was withdrawn.
Magistrates fined him £213, with a £34 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Gomez must pay £50 compensation to Mr Murphy and £15 for the coffee table.
