A NURSING home resident was placed on palliative care after a fall.
An inquest has been opened into the death of Edward Griffiths, 94, who lived and died at The Grange Nursing Home in Hedge End.
Winchester Coroner's Court heard that following a fall, it was decided that Mr Griffiths should be kept comfortable.
He died on March 9. According to a post mortem report, the cause of death was a urinary tract infection.
Area coroner Jason Pegg adjourned the full inquest to September 30.
