A HAMPSHIRE man has been jailed for a public order offence.
Josh Albert Barnes has been jailed for 16 weeks.
The 26-year-old, formerly of Cobbett Close in Swanmore was charged with intending to cause a woman harassment, alarm or distress.
Appearing before Southampton Magistrates' Court he was found guilty of the offence which happened in Swanmore on August 12 last year.
According to court documents, the offence was aggravated by Barnes' previous criminal record.
He has been made the subject of a five-year restraining order not to contact his victim.
Barnes must also pay a £128 victim surcharge.
