A MAN was caught drink driving almost four times the legal limit.
Ian Carter was stopped driving a Range Rover on Southampton Road in Park Gate.
The 59-year-old of Billington Gardens in Hedge End had 296 milligrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood.
The legal limit is 80 milligrammes making him 3.7 times the limit.
Carter pleaded guilty to the offence which happened on February 14 this year.
He had been given an interim disqualification until dealt with by Portsmouth Magistrates' Court.
