EMERGENCY services were called to the shores of Southampton Water yesterday after reports of someone in the water.
At around 5.30pm on Sunday police, coastguard and ambulance crews attended Netley Sailing Club at Royal Victoria Country Park in Netley.
This came after reports of a person in the water.
A coastguard helicopter was also sent out but it was later confirmed to be a large piece of debris, not a person as first thought.
The air ambulance was also seen hovering above Southampton Water before leaving the scene.
