POLICE have stopped another overweight lorry that was causing a potential hazard on Hampshire's roads.
A vehicle travelling along the M27 near Southampton was found to be nearly 90% heavier than it should have been.
It follows a series of other incidents in which lorries were found to be overweight or badly loaded.
Hampshire Roads Policing Unit tweeted: "This vehicle was seen on the M27 at junction 3.
"The maximum gross weight for it is 3500kg. Despite the uprated suspension the load suggested it was overweight and was found to be 6540kg, which is 87% over.
"Driver reported for summons and awaiting day in court."
