A COMPANY director has been banned from the road for drink driving.
Adrian Mediratta was three times the legal limit in a 68-reg Mercedes when stopped by the police on the M3 near Basingstoke on February 18.
Mediratta, 48, of Southgate Street, Winchester, was at Basingstoke Magistrates Court to admit the charge. His alcohol reading was 116 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath when the legal limit is 35.
He is listed at Companies House as director of several London-based companies, including property and investment.
Magistrates fined him £1,000 with a £100 victim surcharge and £85 costs. The disqualification will last 27 months but will be reduced by 27 weeks if he passes an approved course by October 15 2022.
