YOUNG people have been spotted running across a railway in front of trains in Southampton.
Yesterday evening police received reports of young people using catapults against trains at Redbridge Railway Station.
The group were later found on Test Lane with a train stopped near a foot crossing.
The train driver said at the time that the young people were running across the tracks in front of the train as it was approaching.
It was said that they were filming for a video.
A Hampshire Police spokesperson, said: "I won’t bang on about how dangerous that was, fairly obvious.
"Network Rail and British Transport Police have enough material about the dangers.
"We are working with British Transport Police and the parents to make sure they know the risks and to prevent them from this risky business."
Police never found the catapults.
