FIREFIGHTERS have been battling a large gorse fire in the New Forest this morning.
Crews were scrambled to tackle a fire which broke out near Hill Top off Beaulieu Road.
A large area of heathland was engulfed in flames at around 8am.
Engines from Beaulieu, Eastleigh, Redbridge and Ringwood Fire Stations raced to the scene.
Firefighters have been working alongside Forestry England and have now brought the fire under control.
However, no stop message has been received at this stage.
