I WISH to thank the five Eastleigh local area committee councillors who put the health of our planet before the other considerations.
If all the many airports in the UK that want to expand do, and all the airports in the world that want to expand do, then the effect would be massive.
As Cllr Campbell so clearly said in the ELAC meeting, we need green growth and a healthy economy.
As Cllr Clarke said, many of the supporters were talking about technology that is decades away; false information comparing car travel to other airports; jobs and viability, of which there are green recovery/green economy documents out there with all the research on jobs.
We can have a healthy planet but only if we act now.
The research has been done.
Thank you to all councillors who have and will prioritise our planet.
