A 'GROUP exercise concept' gym is set to open in Southampton this summer, as an easing of lockdown restrictions are planned across the county.
The predominantly franchise-based gym company TRIB3 has said the Southampton location, set to open in June 2021 in the city's Cultural Quarter will be"one of [their] final corporately owner stores."
The site will be located on the ground floor of a 500+ bedroom student accommodation building.
TRIB3 currently operative five corporately owned locations with more planned to open in Edinburgh, Manchester and Barcelona. including 20 more franchised stores are due to open in 2021.
Chief Marketing Officer of TRIB3, Kirsty Angove said: "TRIB3 is a group exercise concept so the studio is set up in three signature zones: Treadmill, Resistance and Intensity.
"Across these three zones there are 42 spaces per session so essentially three zones of 14 spaces.
"With distancing measures we will obviously offer reduced capacity if these measures are still in play to keep our TRIB3Rs safe during the session."
TRIB3 CEO Kevin Yates says: “It’s been quite the exciting journey the last few years, from opening our first corporate store in Sheffield to realising significant growth through franchising, across the globe.
"A big focus of our growth this year is on the UK market so I am really looking forward to bringing the TRIB3 experience to Southampton in the summer.”
