POLICE are continuing their efforts to tackle anti-social behaviour in a Hampshire town.
Officers based at Fareham have joined forces with the borough council and other organisations following a series of complaints about youths behaving badly.
Problems have been occurring at Fort Fareham and other locations in the borough, including Allotment Road.
Residents say youths gathering in a park at Dore Avenue, Portchester, have been drinking alcohol and smashing bottles in a children's play area.
Posting on social media Fareham Cops said: "Officers have continued to patrol the ASB hotspots.
"We are aware of issues in other areas of the borough and are proactively working with the council and our partner agencies to tackle these issues."
In an earlier post they said: "Officers have been targeting anti-social behaviour hot spots this week, including Fort Fareham.
"Not only are the youths reported to be causing a nuisance but it is also a dangerous location for them to be hanging out at.
"We are working with the council, local businesses and land owners to try and resolve the ongoing issues."
