Southampton-based rapper Tyrone has teamed up with chart stars Anne-Marie and DJ Nathan Dawe on a summer hit remix which is set to be released on Friday.
The track, called Way Too Long, focuses on being reunited with friends and living life to the full.
It comes a month after Tyrone, who is familiar in the city as part of the dance music group FooR and rap duo Tyrone and Warbz, was signed to Ditto MGMT under Matt Dodds - who once managed Southampton music legend Craig David.
The remix is now available for pre-order via iTunes before its release at the end of the week, titled 'Nathan Dawe x Annie Marie - Way Too Long (Tyrone Remix)’.
“It feels absolutely unreal to be on the same record as Nathan Dawe and Anne-Marie who are both platinum selling record artists,” said Tyrone.
“The track is a summer hit and ties in with it being a long time since everyone has been able to do the things they enjoy, see family and friends and have some fun.”
Singer-songwriter Anne-Marie has recorded a string of chart hits including a number one single as a featured artist on Rockabye with Clean Bandit.
Earlier this year she secured a number two entry with Don’t Play featuring KSI and was a coach on the tenth series of The Voice which ran from January to March this year.
DJ and producer Nathan Dawe is best known for his 2020 hit Lighter with KSI and produced the hit No Time For Tears with Little Mix which gave him his third UK top 20 single.
Being part of the Way Too Long remix is the latest success for Tyrone, who has now amassed a following of more than 430,000 across his social media channels and more than two million streams on Spotify with his debut album Welcome To SO as part of Tyrone and Warbz.
As part of dance music group FooR, he reached number nine in the Official Dance Charts in 2018 with the album Friends of FooR and saw single Fresh featured on an advertisement for beer Coors Light last year.
To help support and fund his work, Tyrone has also created a brand, SO Movement, which includes a record label to release tracks from other up-and-coming artists, merchandise and Litty, a live music event company which provides a safe party environment for young people aged 14 and above.
At the end of last year, he also helped produce and release a compilation album, Sounds of Southampton Vol. 1, which featured Tyrone and Warbz’s single Can’t Relate alongside 24 other young artists and was designed to promote the music scene in Southampton. It entered the official album charts at number 43.
