A SHED fire that took hold in a Southampton street is not being treated as suspicious, after smoke could be be seen across the city.

Crews from St Mary’s, Eastleigh and Cosham were called at just past midday to Waterloo Road in Freemantle.

Calls were received from residents across the city after smoke could be seen billowing for miles.

Firefighters got the shed blaze under control quickly using jets and hose reels, before the stop message came in at 12.58pm this afternoon.

No one was injured, and Hampshire Fire and Rescue service confirmed that "all persons have since been accounted for".
