FIREFIGHTERS rushed to tackle a blaze which destroyed a shed in Southampton.
Two Hightown fire engines were called to Lone Eagle Close in Thornhill last night at around 10pm.
A shed was alight and crews were concerned there was a risk of the fire spreading to the roof space and gardens of nearby houses.
Crews extinguished the blaze, which had destroyed the shed, using hose reels A spokesperson from Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Two Hightown fire engines were sent to a shed fire on Lone Eagle Close in Thornhill at 22:06 yesterday evening.
"Crews extinguished the blaze, which had destroyed the shed, using hose reels and jets before checking for signs of the fire spreading to the adjacent property. "Firefighters left the scene at 22:35 after delivering post incident community fire safety messaging to residents."
