A SOUTHAMPTON man was caught with a bent screwdriver used for theft, according to court documents.
Michael Philip Macey was caught with a bent screwdriver.
The 19-year-old was charged with having the tool for use in the course of or in connection with theft.
He was also charged with taking a Mazda Zugara without the owner's consent and damaging a Vauxhall Vivaro in Southampton.
Macey, of Tunstall Road in the Thornhill ward of the city, was then charged with assaulting a police officer.
He pleaded guilty to the offences which happened on June 25 last year.
At Southampton Magistrates' Court, he was disqualified from driving for 12 months and ordered to pay a total of £685 in costs and compensation.
