A bracelet with "enormous sentimental value" was returned to its owner after a social media appeal to find them.
The Pandora branded bracelet was found by Kyra Williams on Bursledon Road on April 27.
She posted a photo of the charm bracelet in a Facebook group for people in the SO19 area, asking the owner to describe some of the charms, which were kept hidden in the photo.
Luckily the son of owner Mhairi Griffiths-Lansdown from Sholing, saw the post and was able to get in touch with Ms Williams.
On her gratitude, Mhairi said:"I could never thank Kyra enough.
"It’s so heartwarming and wonderful to see that in these days of seemingly nothing but bad news, crime, selfishness and opportunism, someone actually took the time and effort to try and find the owner of a rather expensive bracelet she had just found lying on the ground.
She said the charm bracelet was particularly valuable to her as the bracelet and charms were bought by her daughters and auntie.
"I could have tried to replace the bracelet and charms, but everything was given with so much love and thoughtfulness that every time I looked at any replacement it would just have reminded me of how devastated it made me feel to have lost the original one in the first place."
Ms Mhairi Griffiths-Lansdown has since thanked Ms Williams with a bottle of prosecco.
"This young lady has shown what a thoroughly decent, honest and caring person she really is, she said.
