CCTV footage has been released of a “jealous and bitter” stalker hurling petrol bombs at a Southampton home.
Ashley Pankewycz launched three petrol bombs at a home in Millbrook Road East during part of a stalking campaign waged against his ex-partner.
A clip played at Southampton Crown Court shows the ex-army officer creep up to his intended target with beer bottles full of petrol.
He ignites them then throws them one after the other, during the "firebombing" attack during the early hours of September 11 last year.
The front garden is illuminated in a flash of light as his homemade bombs explode.
Pankewycz, 30, stood trial at Southampton Crown Court earlier this year.
During his sentencing, Judge Christopher Parker QC told how in the Spring of last year he “began a comparatively short-lived relationship” with his victim.
However, the relationship broke down with Pankewycz starting to show signs jealous and controlling behaviour.
Pankewycz, of Andersons Road, Southampton, was charged with attempted arson with intent to endanger life - which he denied and was found not guilty of.
Instead, he pleaded guilty to arson - reckless as to whether life was endangered.
He was also found guilty of stalking which caused serious alarm or distress.
During sentencing, he was deemed to be a danger to the public and jailed for six years and nine months.
He will spend a further five years on licence and has been made the subject of a restraining order until further order.
